When you fly with Africa World Airlines, your checked-in baggage will be disinfected prior to being returned to you at baggage claim. This is being done to minimise the risk of cross-contamination via the luggage handling process.
The disinfection process is conducted under the supervision of Ghana Health Service and is done using products certified to Aerospace Material Specifications AMS1452C and AMS1453A to prevent any damage to the luggage itself.
Also, the baggage is disinfected twice during the handling process – once before loading onto the aircraft, and the second time before returning to the passengers. This ensures the safety of both the airline staff handling the baggage, as well as the passengers
AWA is proud to be at the global forefront of safety in these challenging times, implementing industry-leading standards to reassure our passengers that when you fly with us, you can “Fly Safe, Fly Confident!”
