COVID 19 Test for Arrival Passengers Goes Digital at Kotoka International Airport

Arriving passengers at Kotoka International Airport (KIA)-Ghana will be required to make online payments of usd150.00 for the mandatory COVID 19 Antigen test prior to boarding of their flight at the point of origin from 15th of September, 2020.

This is a directive from Frontier HealthCare and Ghana Airports Company Limited which was given to all airlines on Friday. According to the communique, “Passengers are required to show proof of payment to airlines as a condition for boarding of flights to KIA”.

A sample of a receipt for the online payment must be shown to the airlines before a passenger will be admitted to board the plane for Ghana.

Ghana opened its international air borders on the 1st of September to commercial travel and one of the rules for passage was a mandatory covid test worth usd150.00 for arriving passengers.
