RwandAir resumes Accra-Dubai flights

RwandAir has resumed flights to Dubai from January 20, 2022.

The airline announced the development on Tuesday the 18th of January, 2022 , after a four-week suspension of operations on some routes.

RwandAir’s flights to Dubai were suspended on December 27 after the UAE banned flights from some African countries following the emergence of the Omicron COVID-19 variant in Africa.

“Effective January 20, 2022, RwandAir will resume passenger flights to Dubai for passengers originating from Kigali, Entebbe, Douala, Bujumbura, Accra and Lusaka,” the statement read.

However, the airline in the statement stated that the resumption of flights to Dubai will be dependent on passenger origins, as some countries remain remain from traveling to the UAE.

“Passenger services from the rest of our network to Dubai as a final destination remain suspended until further notice.”

Passengers are to provide COVID-19 vaccination certificates and negative PCR test results before travel.
