Asky takes delivery of a Boeing 737-800 Aircraft

The Pan-African airline, ASKY, took delivery of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft officially received on December 12th, 2019 at the Lomé Airport (Hub) in the presence of company officials.

This new aircraft with a capacity of 154 seats, registered as ET-AXI and configured in two classes (with 16 Business class seats and 138 Economy class seats) reinforces the current fleet of one (1) Bombardier Dash 8 (Q400), five (5) Boeing 737-700 and two (2) Boeing 737-800.

The introduction of this larger capacity aircraft will strengthen the airline’s network by offering more capacity, more frequencies and improve connectivity to Ndjamena (Chad), Bangui (Central Africa Republic), Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), Niamey (Niger), Abuja (Nigeria) with daily frequency. Brazzaville (Congo) will increase to four weekly flights while Cotonou (Benin) will increase to three (3) weekly flights.

In addition, this new aircraft will be operated to the major markets in our network with significant reduction in flight time within the entire ASKY network.
