As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we would share with you women in the Aviation and Tourism space who are making a great difference in the sector for future leaders to follow

My name is Lizzy Sasu and I will be your host for today. Welcome Bianca Biocha Prinscella

LS: Tell us about yourself

BBP: My name is Bianca, I am 26 years old. I am a sales and marketing executive at Eurotour Ghana. I am a big proponent for gender equity and equality and I like to think of myself as part of the feminist movement

LS: Do you have any female role models? Who are they?

BBP: My Biggest role models are Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama.

LS: How do you understand the #iwd2020 theme, #generationequality

BBP: Generation equality in my opinion is pushing gender equity in all aspects of the human social life with the hopes of attaining gender equality one day. This involves giving women more opportunities and more platforms to grow and self develop their human capabilities and capacities

LS: What do you think is the most important to today’s working professional?

BBP: I think most working professionals today strive to acquire financial gains in order to provide some sort of financial security in the long term, however hand in hand, they also strive to achieve self actualization by pushing and building their professional self to be able to move up their professional ladder .

LS: Do you believe that women can better each other instead of competing?

BBP: I often live by this principle of Mother Theresa, it says.. “ you can do what I cannot do, and I can do what you cannot do.. together we can do great things.. there is room for everyone to win” ..
I believe as women we can build to compliment each other and fix each other’s crowns instead of competing between us, because there are enough crowns to go round for everyone

LS: Mentoring and coaching, which one do you prefer and why?

BBP: I prefer mentoring. Most times mentoring involves a sort of acquired respect and devotion so much the subordinate will learn from you almost to be as good as the mentor IS. Coaching however is confined in formal structures and people just follow rules but do not necessarily choose to be like the leader.

LS: In terms of achievement, are you there yet?

BBP: Personally I think the world of endless opportunities are yet to open up and I have only just started .

LS: Any advice to the teeming youth coming up?

BBP: Take advantage of every little opportunity dedicated at building your self and human capabilities. Focus on building a good social raport and social network. Live your life in a way you experience life to its fullest. But never lose sight of the goals you set. Most importantly always align what exactly you do not want. Once you know what you don’t want, what you want will align to you. And always know that the good you put in the universe would come back to find you .
