Emirates Airlines is suspending flights departing from Accra and Abidjan from today, 27th December, 2021 for 48 hours.
The statement which read, “Emirates flights from Accra to Dubai are suspended for a period of 48 hours effective 0700hrs Dubai Time on 27th December, 2021”, also advised the public that, “the carriage of all passengers to and from Abidjan is suspended.”
However, “flights from Dubai to Accra will continue to carry all passengers” – the statement said.
Passengers on Emirates flight are advised to contact their agents for rescheduling or refunds as the airline will not fly from Accra and Abidjan starting today. The reason behind the suspension however has not been communicated.
This comes at the back of stringent travel restrictions put on some countries including Ghana a few days ago where more pcr tests were required before entry into the UAE.
