Africa World Airlines, the only Ghanaian carrier, is touted to transport this year 2018 Hajj Pilgrims to Saudi.

According to information reaching gh-aviation.com, the Hajj board has consulted the Ministry of Aviation, Ghana, to facilitate the engagement of a home based airline to convey about 50% of Ghanaian pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in August 2018.

From their specification, the airline must have all the International certification to fly between Ghana and Saudi Arabia using owned or leased aircraft that meets IATA standards as well as standards for both countries. The airline must also have a valid Air Operator Certificate (AOC) issued by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.

The Ministry in this regard has recommended AFrica World Airlines (AWA), the ONLY home based airline in Ghana to engage the Hajj board and take advantage of the offer to transport 50% of Ghanaian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

More details to follow soon……………………..
