Ethiopian Airlines to take Manchester-Addis Ababa route non-stop

Ethiopian Airlines will make its Manchester-Addis Ababa route, which currently transits in Brussels, a non-stop service from July 1.

The four-times-weekly route operated by a two-class B787 Dreamliner launched on December 11, 2019.

ET729 departs Manchester in 2000 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arriving in Addis at 0600 the following day.

ET728 departs Addis at 2345 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, landing at 0605 the following day.

Manchester Airport is set to open the first phase of a £1 billion expansion project this summer.

Other upcoming changes for Ethiopian, reported by Routes Online, include making Addis Ababa-Geneva non-stop. This replaces a stop in Vienna, with its Dublin route now operating via Geneva instead of Vienna.

Addis Ababa–Marseille will become a three-times-weekly nonstop service, replacing one stop in Milan Malpensa, while Addis Ababa–Milan Malpensa will be nonstop seven days a week.
