Africa World Airlines continues to operate flights to Lagos following the announcement by Nigerian authorities of an Italian national being treated for COVID-19 there.

AWA is monitoring the situation in close co-ordination with the officials in both Ghana and Nigeria. “The safety of our crew and passengers is our top priority, and consequently passengers departing from Lagos may experience additional screening and precautionary measures. We urge passengers on our flights that depart from Lagos to arrive at the airport early in order to comply with these measures”, the airline said.

Passengers who are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 are urged not to travel, and to contact a medical professional for further assistance.
